Vegeta 13: Chibi SSJ Blue

(2017, April 6) Art Medium: #2 pencil lined with gel pen, marker, and colored pencils (Pentel, Stabilo Swans Premium)

Made this out of the blue. I just got a new set of colored pencils (Stabilo Swans Premium) and was eager to try it already. I also had a sketch pad and another colored pencil set (Pentel) that are left untouched for about a year now. Came up with chibi SSJ Blue Vegeta. I had to do something else after drawing this so I hurriedly made this one in about 3 hours.

The Stabilo I would say is pretty good. It has rich colors. It's smooth and it's good for blending. The Pentel one, it's just so-so but I like the color range. I used an ordinary school-grade sketch pad. The quality is just acceptable but I'm glad the pencils "adhere" to it. I have an artist-grade sketch pad but the quality degraded for some reason and the pencils no longer adhere to it like it used to over the years.
